Resize Multiple Pictures At Once

You can easily resize a batch of your image files in Preview. This is particularly useful when resizing the large files from the memory a digital camera. Here is the brief process:

1. Go to the folder containing all of your pics you want to resize.
2. Highlight all of the photos, and double-click to open in Preview, or right-click and choose Open With Preview.
3. Go to Edit and choose "Select All".
4. Go to Tools and choose "Adjust Size...".
5. Enter in your desired size for all the images.
6. Go to File and choose Save All.

Quick and easy!

  6. I actually just spent an hour trying to do this, and you solved my issue in 3 minutes. You are amazing for posting this! Thank you so much!

I tried this stupid online image resizer thing, and I kept having to wait for it to upload files and all this garbage, was incredibly annoying.

This method even beats photoshop for large amounts of files.

  9. That's a useful tip thanks - esp. as it works with PNG format also. However there is no facility for rescaling proportionally but specifying the longest edge? Now that would be really useful. Is there a way to do this?

  14. I don't have a 'save all' button just a save. Which means I have to hit it for each photo... any suggestions?
